Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) young pacer Prince Yadav delivers a searing inswinger to dismiss Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) in-form batter Travis Head. The left-handed opener had been tearing into the LSG bowling attack, racing to 47 off just 28 balls with five boundaries and three massive sixes. However, Prince Yadav, playing his second Indian Premier League (IPL) match, had other plans as he produced a moment of brilliance that completely shattered Head’s stumps. It was Prince’s maiden wicket in the cash-rich league.
A lethal ball from Prince Yadav that left Travis Head clueless
Steaming in with purpose, Prince bowled a near-perfect delivery that will be remembered for a long time. The ball was full and swung in late at high pace, catching Head off guard. Head, looking to continue his aggressive approach, attempted an expansive drive but completely misjudged the movement. The ball curved in sharply, sneaked through the gap between bat and pad, and crashed into the base of the stumps, dramatically uprooting them.
The moment the ball hit the woodwork, there was stunned silence in the SRH camp, while the LSG players erupted in celebration. Head stood frozen for a second, realizing he had been undone by a peach of a delivery. The sheer pace and late movement made it almost unplayable, showcasing Prince Yadav’s raw talent and ability to swing the ball at high speeds. The young pacer celebrated his maiden IPL wicket with sheer delight, pumping his fists as his teammates surrounded him.

SRH struggles after strong start against LSG
LSG won the toss and opted to field first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. SRH got off to a brisk start, reaching 62/2 in the powerplay despite losing Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan in quick succession to Shardul Thakur. Head led the charge with a fluent 47 off 28 balls before falling to Prince. Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen attempted to rebuild, but LSG kept striking at regular intervals. Aniket Verma provided late fireworks with a 13-ball 36, smashing five sixes, but Thakur’s three-wicket haul ensured SRH couldn’t fully capitalize. At 169/7 in 17 overs, SRH remains in search of a strong finish.
