New Zealand leg-spinning all-rounder Kerr etched her name in the history books yet again by winning the Debbie Hockley Medal for the third consecutive year, becoming the first cricketer to do so. Her all-around brilliance through the 2024 season was celebrated at the prestigious New Zealand Cricket Awards held on April 9, 2025.

Amelia’s dominance extended beyond New Zealand’s domestic circuit. She was recognised globally when she was awarded the Rachel Heyhoe Flint Trophy for ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year, and also took home the ICC Women’s T20I Player of the Year award, firmly establishing herself as the world’s premier women’s cricketer in 2024.
