Harbhajan Singh picks the winner of IPL 2025
Harbhajan believed this could be the year Punjab Kings (PBKS) finally lift their maiden IPL trophy. Punjab in their recent fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) perfectly illustrated their new-found resilience. After being bowled out for a modest total of just 111 runs, the situation looked grim for the home side. However, Punjab had other plans as in n a dramatic turn of events, their bowlers staged a stunning comeback, dismantling the KKR lineup for just 95 runs and sealing a memorable 16-run win.
After the game, Harbhajan stated that their thrilling victory against KKR would boost their morale significantly. He emphasized that winning such closely fought matches instills a belief within the team that success is achievable. According to him, this win could ignite a sense of optimism across Punjab, with many believing that this season might finally belong to their franchise.
“Punjab Kings can win the IPL 2025 as their success against Kolkata Knight Riders will give them confidence. If you win this kind of match, you start feeling that you will get success. Eyeing top spot in the points table with momentum building
The arrival of legendary Australian Ricky Ponting as head coach and the appointment of Shreyas Iyer as captain have brought a visible transformation to the PBKS setup. Known for their inconsistency in previous seasons, Punjab now appears more focused, better organized, and strategically bold. Under this new leadership duo, the franchise has consistently taken the initiative in matches, with aggressive intent both in batting and bowling departments.
With four wins from six matches and a healthy net run rate, PBKS currently sit fourth on the IPL 2025 points table with eight points. Their performances so far suggest a well-rounded unit, capable of adapting to different match scenarios. The form of key players across departments from explosive starts at the top to clutch spells from their bowlers has been vital. As the league stage approaches its decisive half, Punjab now has a chance to push for a top-two finish, which will be crucial in securing the qualifier advantage in the playoffs. With belief growing, form building, and legends backing them, the Kings may indeed be on the verge of something special this season.
