The high-stakes encounter between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals witnessed an early breakthrough for the visitors as Archer continued his dominance over Gill, reinforcing his reputation as one of the premier fast bowlers in the tournament. The dismissal came early in the Gujarat innings after Rajasthan won the toss and elected to field first, setting the tone for what promises to be an electrifying contest.

Archer shatters Gill’s stumps with an inswinger

With the scoreboard reading 14/0 in the third over, Archer steamed in to face Gill, who had managed just 2 runs from his first 3 deliveries. Sai Sudharsan, however, anchored the innings confidently, reaching his fifty off just 32 balls with classy strokes. He found solid support from Jos Buttler, and together they steadied the ship with a crucial 80-run partnership. Their stand brought much-needed momentum back to Gujarat after the initial hiccup. But just when the Titans looked set to dominate, Rajasthan struck back at a critical moment. Maheesh Theekshana broke the partnership by removing Buttler for 36 with a clever delivery. The wicket shifted the balance of the game once again, halting Gujarat’s recovery. At the 10-over mark, GT stood at 94/2, with Sudharsan continuing to hold the innings together.
