The Jamaican all-rounder, Andre Russell,  is a KKR icon who also had a brief stint with Delhi. Russell played for Delhi Daredevils from 2012 to 2013 with a minimal impact, scoring 58 runs in 7 matches and taking 1 wicket. His explosive potential was evident, but injuries limited his impact. Since joining KKR in 2014, Russell has been a game-changer, scoring 2,539 runs in 136 matches at a strike rate of 174.00, with 11 fifties, and taking 122 wickets. His career-defining knocks, like 88 not out off 36 balls against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2018 and fiery spells have made him KKR’s heartbeat, far outshining his Delhi tenure.

2. Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane, known for his classical batting, played for KKR in 2022, scoring 133 runs in seven matches, including a fifty. His brief stint was steady but unspectacular. For Delhi and Rajasthan Royals (RR), Rahane featured in 2019 and 2020 respectively, scoring over 500 runs in 23 matches at 22.41 average, with a best of 105 not out. While his Delhi numbers were modest, his experience added stability. Rahane’s adaptability across formats and teams highlights his professionalism. Currently, Rahane leading a struggling KKR side in this year’s IPL but the right-hander has left an impressive mark in the cash-rich league.

3. Kuldeep Yadav

Kuldeep Yadav, India’s crafty left-arm wrist-spinner, has been a vital asset for both franchises. He debuted with KKR in 2016 where his variations troubled batsmen, though inconsistency led to his release. Joining DC in 2022, Kuldeep rediscovered his form, taking 99 wickets in 93 matches, including a standout 4/14 against KKR in 2022. His 21 wickets in 2022 earned him a Team India recall. Kuldeep’s ability to turn games with his guile has made him a key performer for both teams.

4. Manish Pandey

Manish Pandey, the first Indian to score an IPL century, has been a journeyman in the IPL, representing both DC and KKR among other teams. Pandey played for KKR from 2014 to 2017, scoring 1,270 runs in 55 matches at an average of 27.34, with six fifties. His ability to stabilize the middle order was crucial during KKR’s 2014 title-winning campaign. For Delhi, Pandey featured in 2023 and returned to KKR in 2024. His versatility as a fielder and batsman made him a valuable asset for both franchises. Pandey’s 114 not out for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2009, mentioned earlier as the IPL’s first Indian century, adds to his storied career, with his contributions to KKR and DC highlighting his adaptability.
