On Monday, in a high-octane clash, Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a comprehensive manner. Asked to bat, GT posted a total of 198, helped by Gill’s masterclass of 90 runs and a half-century from Sai Sudharsan. In reply, KKR seemed out of sorts in the chase, and their middle-order woes hurt them again. Apart from Ajinkya Rahane, no one was able to put up a fight with the bat. Eventually, they ended up losing the game by a significant margin of 39 runs.
