In the Indian Premier League (IPL), player movement between franchises is common, with teams often trading or signing players to strengthen their squads. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Capitals (DC), formerly known as Delhi Daredevils, are two franchises with rich histories and competitive rosters. Over the years, several players have worn the jerseys of both teams and contributed significantly to their respective campaigns.
Here’s the list of players who have represented both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals in IPL T20:
1. Mohammed Shami- The pace spearhead

Mohammed Shami, one of India’s top fast bowlers, is known for his seam movement and ability to swing the ball both ways. His IPL career has included stints with multiple franchises, including DC and SRH. Shami played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) from 2014 to 2018, appearing in 32 matches. As a young pacer, he showed promise while still developing his T20 skills, picking up wickets occasionally and gaining valuable experience in high-pressure situations.
In the 2025 auction, Shami was picked up by SRH for INR 10 crore. However, his time with the team has not been among his best. In 9 matches, he has taken only 6 wickets, with an expensive economy rate of 11.23. His costly spells during the powerplay have hurt SRH this season. As a result, he was dropped after 9 games due to poor form.
2. Abhishek Sharma – The explosive left-handed batter

Abhishek Sharma, a dynamic left-handed batter and part-time spinner, has become a key player for SRH in recent years. He began his IPL career with Delhi Daredevils in 2018, where he played just three matches. As a young prospect, he showed glimpses of his aggressive batting style but found opportunities limited due to a strong DC lineup featuring stars like Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. Despite the short stint, Abhishek’s potential was clear, especially against spin.
In 2019, SRH acquired him, and since then, he has become a regular in their top order. Known for his fearless strokeplay and ability to accelerate in the powerplay, Abhishek has delivered match-winning performances, including quick fifties. In the 2024 season, he scored 484 runs at a remarkable strike rate of 202. His growth as a batter, along with his useful left-arm spin, has made him a valuable all-rounder. Abhishek’s journey from a fringe player at DC to a mainstay at SRH highlights his development and adaptability.

3. Jaydev Unadkat – The veteran pacer
Jaydev Unadkat, a left-arm pacer, is one of the IPL’s journeymen, having played for several franchises. He represented Delhi Daredevils in 2014 & 2015, where he played 10 matches and picked up wickets using his variations and slower balls. His ability to deceive batters in the death overs made him a useful option, although consistency was an issue. His time with Delhi came during the early stages of his IPL career as he was still finding his footing in the T20 format.
In the 2024 auction, Unadkat joined SRH but turned out to be an expensive bowler. That season, he played 11 games and conceded runs at an economy rate of 10.24, struggling with consistency. However, in 2025, Jaydev has delivered with more discipline. In 4 matches this season, he has taken 6 wickets with an economy of 8.20.
4. KL Rahul – The classy batter
KL Rahul, one of India’s finest batters, is a household name in the IPL. His IPL journey began with SRH in 2014, where he played as a middle-order batter and occasional wicketkeeper. Over two seasons (2014 and 2015), he appeared in 20 matches for SRH, scoring runs with elegance but often batting lower in the order.
Rahul’s impressive form earned him a massive INR 14 crore from DC in the 2025 auction, justifying his value. In 9 matches this season, he has scored a total of 371 with an outstanding average of 43. His performance has played a significant role in DC’s standings in the points table and fans expect him to continue delivering strong results.
5. T Natarajan – The yorker specialist

T. Natarajan, the left-arm pacer renowned for his pinpoint yorkers, is a product of SRH’s scouting system. He has been a cornerstone of their bowling attack since 2018, delivering consistent performances in the death overs. His ability to execute under pressure, particularly during the 2020 season, earned him national recognition and a call-up to the Indian team. Natarajan’s journey from a small-town cricketer to an IPL star is inspirational.
In the 2025 auction, Natarajan was bought for a whopping INR 10.75 crore by DC. However, he is yet to make his debut for the side, which has raised questions among many cricket experts, including English legend Kevin Pietersen.
