The moment came on the final ball of the match, with Nepal needing just 1 run to win. Bowler Mark Watt delivered a wide ball down the leg side. The batters attempted a quick run as the wicketkeeper removed the stumps and appealed for a dismissal. However, the twist came when the umpire signaled it as a wide, handing Nepal a dramatic victory.

As soon as the umpire signaled the wide, hundreds of fans rushed onto the ground in sheer joy, waving flags, celebrating, dancing, and shaking hands with their favorite players. Nepal edged past Scotland in a historic chase

After winning the toss, Nepal chose to bowl first. Scotland’s batting started strong, and despite losing a wicket in the third over, they kept the scoreboard ticking. Opener Charlie Tear played a brilliant knock, scoring 80 runs off just 72 balls, accompanied by a half-century from Finlay McCreath. For Nepal, Rijan Dhakal, Karan KC, and Sompal Kami stood out with the ball, each claiming two wickets.

Chasing a challenging target of 297, Nepal got off to a flying start with a solid 72-run opening partnership. However, two quick wickets pushed Nepal onto the back foot. But KC had other plans, coming in at number nine, KC played a match-winning knock, smashing an unbeaten 65 off just 41 balls, including 3 fours and 4 sixes, guiding Nepal to a thrilling victory.

His heroic effort with both bat and ball earned him the Player of the Match award, capping off a memorable performance and securing a historic win for Nepal.
