Talking about Bumrah’s workload management on his YouTube channel, Irfan said Ben Stokes bowled a 9.2-over marathon spell in the morning, calling him a 4D player who bats, bowls, and contributes with run-outs. He pointed out that workload doesn’t matter when Stokes bowls, whereas it remains an issue with the Indian team.
Irfan noted Bumrah bowled just five overs and then stopped even when Joe Root came to bat, at a crucial stage when the match needed control. He added that workload should be managed when players aren’t playing, but once on the field, there should be no talk of workload. The only focus should be on winning and giving everything.

Workload is an issue here with us. Bumrah bowls 5 overs and then he stops when Joe Root comes to bat—when you have to hold the match. The workload is managed when you aren’t playing the matches, but when you play, then there is no workload. Then you have to just win the match. Then you just have to put your life into it.” Irfan said on his YouTube channel.

Irfan further criticised Yashasvi Jaiswal, stating that the young batter would also look back at the shot he played. He said that if someone were in the dressing room thinking like Jaiswal’s elder brother, they would have pulled his ears, telling him there was no need to play that shot. Irfan added that Jaiswal could have easily left it, as it was well outside the off stump.
Irfan further also criticised Yashasvi Jaiswal, saying, “Yashasvi Jaiswal will also look back at the shot he played. If you were in the dressing room and thought like his elder brother, you would have pulled his ears, telling him there was no need to play that shot. He could have left it, as it was this much outside the off stump,”
