After losing the first two games, their batters finally clicked in the last match, delivering a commanding performance that salvaged pride at the end of a disappointing series.

Sahibzada Farhan leads the charge as Pakistan finished with a strong total

Pakistan’s innings began with a commanding partnership, led by Sahibzada Farhan’s influential 63 off 41 deliveries, filled with crisp boundaries and towering sixes. Saim Ayub’s brisk 21 added to the early momentum before both were dismissed by the accurate spin of Nasum Ahmed, who delivered a tight spell and provided Bangladesh crucial breakthroughs. Hasan Nawaz’s aggressive knock of 33 from just 17 balls further boosted Pakistan, setting up a strong total as the middle overs unfolded.

Bangladesh clawed back later in the innings, thanks largely to Taskin Ahmed’s incisive three-wicket burst that stifled Pakistan’s charge at the death. Mohammad Nawaz’s late fireworks, scoring 27 off 16, ensured Pakistan crossed 170, but Taskin, supported by Shoriful Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin who took a wicket each, kept the final overs in check. Nasum’s disciplined bowling also stood out, helping Bangladesh restrict Pakistan to 178 for 7 in 20 overs.

Bangladesh crumbles under pressure in the 3rd T20I

Bangladesh struggled with the bat despite conditions that offered some support to the batters. After opener Tanzid Hasan was dismissed early without troubling the scorers, wickets tumbled rapidly in a brief phase of the innings. Saifuddin showed some fight with a gritty 35 runs, but his resistance was insufficient to steady the innings. Bangladesh will need to reflect on their batting shortcomings as they prepare for future challenges. For Pakistan, it was a clinical bowling display that dismantled the hosts for just 104 runs. Salman Mirza was the standout performer, producing an excellent spell of 3 for 20, while Faheem Ashraf and Nawaz contributed with two wickets each. Moving forward, Pakistan will aim to build on their strong bowling performances and improve their batting consistency throughout the series.
