Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, who missed out on selection for the Asia Cup 2025, is currently featuring in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Rizwan, known for his consistency in international cricket, has been trying to use the tournament to regain form. However, his campaign began on a shaky note, with scores of just 3 and 30 in his opening two matches.
In his first outing against Barbados Royals, Rizwan looked unsettled and could manage only 3 runs. Batting at number four, he faced six deliveries before falling to a loose shot on a full-toss, losing his wicket in rather soft fashion.
Barbados Royals add Bollywood flavour to Mohammad Rizwan’s dismissal
Amidst his patchy start, the Barbados Royals’ social media team decided to have some fun at Rizwan’s expense. They shared a video clip of his dismissal with a Bollywood song playing in the background, giving it a humorous twist. The choice of track added an extra layer of banter, indirectly mocking Rizwan for gifting away his wicket in an avoidable manner.
The post instantly grabbed attention among fans, who enjoyed the mix of cricket and Bollywood entertainment. It was a light-hearted moment that showed how franchises often engage with their audience through creative content on social media.

Rizwan roars back in form
Despite the trolling, Rizwan answered his critics with the bat in his third game of the tournament, which was 15th game of the tournament. Playing against Saint Lucia Kings, he produced a classy unbeaten 60 off 41 balls, helping the Patriots post 177/3 in their 20 overs.
Unfortunately for Rizwan, his fighting knock went in vain as Barbados Royals chased down the target comfortably in 17 overs. Tim Seifert top-scored with a fluent 68 off 45 balls, while Johnson Charles contributed a quickfire 47, sealing victory for the Royals.
While Rizwan’s form seems to be on the mend, the Bollywood-themed dig from Barbados Royals has already become one of the most talked-about moments of CPL 2025.
