A breathtaking century from Tim Seifert powered the Saint Lucia Kings to a magnificent six-wicket victory over the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons. In a high-scoring Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 encounter, the Kings made light work of a challenging 205-run target, romping home with more than two overs to spare.

After being put in to bat, the Falcons amassed an imposing 204 for 4 from their 20 overs. The innings was built around two superb half-centuries. Amir Jangoo anchored the top order with a steady 56, but the real fireworks came from Shakib Al Hasan, who launched a blistering assault, smashing 61 from a mere 26 deliveries. His aggressive knock provided the foundation of huge total. Also late explosive cameo from Fabian Allen, who blasted 38 not out from 17 balls, ensured the Falcons finished with a highly competitive score. For the Kings, spinner Tabraiz Shamsi was the standout performer with the ball, stemming the flow of runs with an excellent spell of 3/30 amidst the carnage. Apart from him, Delano Potgieter chipped in with one wicket.

Wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert played an innings of a lifetime, single-handedly decimating the Falcons’ bowling attack with a phenomenal unbeaten 125 from just 53 balls. His breathtaking knock was studded with 10 fours and 9 sixes, as he made a mockery of the target. While Johnson Charles provided a quick start, it was Seifert who anchored the chase and accelerated magnificently, ensuring his side was always well ahead of the required run rate. The Falcons’ bowlers had no answer to his onslaught, as he guided his team over the finish line in just 17.5 overs to seal a truly memorable victory.
