Mohammad Rizwan’s classy knock takes St Kitts & Nevis Patriots to competitive total
After being asked to bat first, the Patriots posted 149/6 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to a magnificent knock from Mohammad Rizwan. The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter stood tall while wickets kept tumbling around him, anchoring the innings with a fluent 85 off 62 balls that included eight boundaries and three sixes.
Early in the innings, Andre Fletcher’s brief cameo ended at 7, while Kyle Mayers and Leniko Boucher departed cheaply, leaving Rizwan with the responsibility of rebuilding. For his match-winning knock, Rizwan was adjudged Player of the Match. His 85 was the highest individual score of the game and proved to be the defining difference between the two sides.
