Sri Lanka had a challenging time at the crease, posting a total of 209/10 in 43.3 overs after opting to bat first in the contest. The standout performances came from Kusal Perera, who scored 78 runs off 82 deliveries, and Pathum Nissanka, who contributed 61 runs off 67 balls.

Adam Zampa was the pick of the Australian bowlers, claiming four crucial wickets during his spell, while Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc also made significant contributions with the ball.
