In the 8th match of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) 2023, the Adelaide Strikers Women registered an exhilarating 4-wicket victory against the Melbourne Stars Women at the Junction Oval.

Winning the toss, the Melbourne Stars chose to bat first and set a target of 133/6 in their 20 overs. Maia Bouchier emerged as the top scorer for the Stars, delivering a powerful performance of 48 runs off 38 balls.

For Adelaide Strikers, Megan Schutt picked up two wickets, while Anesu Mushangwe,Georgia Adams, Amanda Wellington and Jemma Barsby claimed a scalp each.

In response, the Adelaide Strikers managed to chase down the target in 19.4 overs, ultimately achieving a total of 134/6.
