Taskin tried to flick a delivery from Shaheen, but the ball went to the wicketkeeper Rizwan, brushing off his pad. In typical cricket fashion, the Pakistan team immediately appealed for a caught-behind, believing that Taskin had edged the ball.
The on-field umpire, however, remained unmoved and turned down the appeal. Undeterred, Pakistan’s players gave a thought to review the decision and consulted their skipper, Babar Azam. What happened next was nothing short of comical as Rizwan turned to Taskin and asked him whether he had indeed edged the ball before opting for the review. This impromptu consultation between Rizwan and Taskin left both players and commentators in splits, adding a touch of comedy to the intense contest.
