Rinku issues apology for shattering the glass
In the aftermath of the game, Rinku shared insights into his innings and the shot that left a mark on the media box. He revealed that captain Suryakumar encouraged him to play his natural game, providing the rhythm needed for his explosive performance. Rinku also issued an apologetic note for the unintended damage caused by his powerful six.
“When I went to bat, we had three wickets down, so it was a bit tough there. When I was playing with Surya Bhai, he told me to play my game. I took some time in the beginning because it was a bit difficult to understand the wicket. I got settled a bit, and then the hits started coming. When I hit a six, I didn’t even know that the glass was broken. Sorry about that (laughing),” expressed Rinku in a video shared by BCCI on X (formerly Twitter).
