Here’s the World record created by India in the ODI series against England

In the recently concluded ODI series played between India and England, the Indian team created a World record which is still unknown to many.

Team India led by Virat Kohli aggregated a total of 1053 runs in this series, which is the most by any team in a 3-match ODI series. They broke England’s record of 1037 runs which also came in this series.

Prior to this, South Africa was the only team to aggregate 1000 runs in an ODI series, as the Proteas players scored 1023 runs against Zimbabwe in 2000.

1st ODI played at Pune, Jan 15, 2017 : ENG 350/7 ; IND 356/7
2nd ODI played at Cuttack, Jan 19, 2017 : IND 381/6 ; ENG 366/8
3rd ODI played at Kolkata, Jan 22, 2017 : ENG 321/8 ; IND 316/9
