The initial incident unfolded during the last ball of the seventh over in the Peshawar run-chase. Faheem Ashraf, the Peshawar’s all-rounder, aimed for a six towards deep square leg, and the young ball-boy dived brilliantly but couldn’t secure the catch. Munro, with a gesture, demonstrated to the boy how to make a catch, showcasing his encouraging nature.

The kid, however, redeemed himself in front of Munro. Arif Yaqoob struck a powerful six off Rumman Raees on the fifth ball of the penultimate over, sending the ball towards the square leg region. This time, the determined ball boy showcased impeccable fielding skills, securing the catch flawlessly. Munro, having witnessed the boy’s earlier disappointment, expressed sheer joy and jubilation, celebrating the successful catch with the young enthusiast. Islamabad skipper Shadab Khan also sported a wry smile, acknowledging the delightful moment.

Regrettably, Munro faced a challenging day with the bat, managing only 15 runs in 9 balls for the Islamabad side. Despite his dismissal, Islamabad thrived, posting a formidable score of 196/4 in their allotted 20 overs.
