Following Farhan’s dismissal, Lahore faced a challenging situation as they lost two more wickets. Nevertheless, Captain Shaheen Afridi, promoting himself at No. 5, joined forces with the aggressive batter Abdullah Shafique. The duo orchestrated a vital 91-run partnership for the fourth wicket within 10 overs, both achieving half-centuries in quick succession. Their efforts propelled Lahore to a competitive score of 166/4 in the allotted 20 overs.

Quetta’s strong response

In response, Roy and Saud Shakeel provided Quetta with a solid start, adding 39 runs for the first wicket. Roy exhibited excellent form, smashing four boundaries, including three consecutive ones on Shaheen. Nonetheless, Jahandad Khan halted Roy’s innings at 18.
