Shane bond lavishes praise on Riyan Parag
Amidst the chorus of praise for Parag’s batting prowess after RR’s victory over Mumbai Indians (MI), one voice stands out is that of Shane Bond, the Australian cricket legend and bowling coach for the Rajasthan Royals. Bond’s admiration for Parag goes beyond mere accolades as he draws an intriguing parallel between the young batter and a seasoned Indian cricketer.
Shane Bond compares Riyan Parag with India’s T20 star
While praising Parag, Bond compared the young cricketer to India’s T20 specialist Suryakumar Yadav. He shed light on the striking similarities in the playing styles of Parag and Suryakumar as well as the approach to the game. It is worth mentioning that Suryakumar is a key player for India in T20Is and has earned a reputation as one of the most dangerous T20 batters with his audacious strokeplay and consistency.
“He (Riyan) sort of reminds me a little bit of Surya (Suryakumar Yadav), who came to Mumbai a few years ago. He looks like that – he has got extreme talent. He has just matured as a cricketer, even though he is only 22,” Bond told reporters.
