On Saturday, the Australian opener David Warner hit back at the Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh for making remarks before team Australia arrived in town for the four-match Test series.
Ahead of the Pune Test, Harbhajan stated that India would go on to win the Test series 3-0 even if Steve Smith‘s men played well. The off-spinner then also described that the touring Australian side is one of the weakest ever.
“In my opinion, looking at the composition, this is the weakest Australian side to tour India. I don’t think this team has the wherewithal to cope with a quality Indian side in the Indian conditions. It can again be 4-0 like 2013 season,” Harbhajan was quoted saying ahead of the series.
But, after Australia’s thumping win against India in the series opener at Pune, Bhajji took to his Twitter account and applauded Steve Smith and the Australian team for their outstanding performance.
So now, David Warner could not stop himself from trolling the Punjab spinner and reminded him of his earlier remarks. The hard-hitting left-handed batsman retweeted a tweet from Cricket Australia’s official Twitter handle.
And not only just Warner but also other cricket fans took a hilarious dig at Harbhajan on the social micro-blogging site.
