Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) opening batter Quinton de Kock missed the IPL 2024 match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday, April 30.
The LSG management confirmed before the toss that Ashton Turner would replace De Kock in the playing XI at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
Reason for Quinton De Kock’s absence
De Kock was forced to sit out due to niggle. Meanwhile, Lucknow’s unanticipated move saw the fans hitting out at the franchise for ignoring the Proteas star.
“We will bowl first. Wicket looks good, want to put their batters under pressure and look to chase it,” said Rahul after winning the toss.
“We’ll try to stay as balanced as possible. Need to come out and put up show. We have had a few good victories. Few changes, Quinton misses out. [Arshin] Kulkarni is in the team. Mayank [Yadav] is back as well,” he added.
