Team India continued their domination over Bangladesh in the Women’s T20I series as they defeated the hosts in the fifth and final T20I to register a clean sweep. Despite posting 156/5 on the scoreboard, India produced a top-class show, especially by their bowlers as the home team could only reach 135/6, losing the contest by 21 runs.

Smriti Mandhana, Dayalan Hemalatha take India to a competitive total
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India Women posted a challenging total of 156/5 in their allotted 20 overs. The innings was anchored by significant contributions from Smriti Mandhana (33 runs off 25 balls), Dayalan Hemalatha (37 runs off 28 balls), and Harmanpreet Kaur (30 runs off 24 balls). Richa Ghosh’s quickfire 28 off 17 balls bolstered the Indian total.
Despite a spirited effort, Bangladesh’s bowling attack couldn’t quite contain the Indian batters, with Rabeya Khan being the standout bowler for Bangladesh, claiming 2 wickets for 28 runs in her 4 overs.

Radha Yadav destroys Bangladesh batting unit
Chasing a target of 157 runs for victory, Bangladesh Women fought valiantly but fell short, managing 135/6 in their 20 overs. Ritu Moni top-scored for Bangladesh with a gritty 37 off 33 balls, while contributions from Rubya Haider (20) and Shorifa Khatun (28) kept their hopes alive.
However, the Indian bowlers proved too strong, with Radha Yadav leading the attack with figures of 3 wickets for 24 runs in her 4 overs. Asha Sobhana also chipped in with crucial wickets, taking 2 wickets for 25 runs in her 4 overs.
