On the 1st day of the 4th Test match between India and Australia being played at Dharamsala, the young Shreyas Iyer was roped in as a substitute late by Team India when one of the fielders went off the park in the post Tea session.
In the 80th over of the Australian innings, Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a ball pitched on middle and leg to Matthew Wade. The southpaw calmly guided it towards the leg side. Sheyas Iyer quickly got to the ball and threw the ball perfectly to wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha, who then did the rest as he took the bails off the stumps running out Wade’s partner Steve O’ Keefe.
The Indian Virat Kohli, who has been ruled out of the 4th Test due to injury was quick to react on young fielder’s brilliance from the dressing room.
