VIDEO: Virat Kohli says his friendship with Australian cricketers is over

India captain Virat Kohli, who didn’t play in the last Test because of shoulder injury, on Tuesday (March 28) said that he no longer considers Australian cricketers his friends after being targeted both on and off the field by them in a fiercely-fought series that his team won.

Kohli addressed the media in his trademark aggressive style. When an Australian scribe asked if he still considered Steve Smith‘s men his friends off the field as he had said at the start of the series, the skipper gave a no holds barred answer.

“No, it has changed. I thought that was the case, but it has changed for sure. As I said, in the heat of the battle you want to be competitive but I’ve been proven wrong,” Kohli said.

“The thing I said before the first Test, that has certainly changed and you won’t hear me say that ever again,” he said at the post-match press conference,” the Indian captain added.
