The shot traveled a staggering 107 meters, clearing the stadium roof and setting a record for the longest six of the T20 World Cup 2024 so far.

Powell was dismissed soon after his remarkable six, scoring 23 runs off 18 balls, leaving West Indies at 125/4 in the 16th over. Andre Russell then took over, scoring a rapid 30 off 17 deliveries, guiding the team to a competitive total of 173/5 in 20 overs. In response, Uganda’s batting lineup crumbled against the West Indies bowlers. Akeal Hosein‘s exceptional left-arm spin resulted in figures of 5/11 from 4 overs, leading to Uganda’s collapse for just 39 runs, securing a massive 134-run victory for the Caribbean side.
