Jasprit Bumrah’s match-winning spell
Bumrah’s exceptional bowling performance turned the tide in India’s favour, as he claimed crucial wickets, including the likes of Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed, at key moments in the game. His figures of 3/14 in four overs showcased his mastery over the craft of pace bowling. Crucial wicket of Mohammad Rizwan
During the 15th over of Pakistan’s innings, Rizwan, who was holding the innings together with a determined knock, faced a crucial delivery from Bumrah. With the match finely poised and Pakistan needing a steady partnership to chase down the target set by India, Rizwan’s wicket was pivotal.
As Bumrah charged in to bowl, he delivered a well-directed length delivery that stayed low off the pitch. Rizwan, looking to play defensively, attempted to defend the ball. Nevertheless, due to the low bounce and the deceptive pace, Rizwan misjudged the delivery’s trajectory.
The ball skidded through and stayed low, sneaking underneath Rizwan’s bat. As Rizwan failed to connect with the ball, it crashed into the stumps, dislodging the bails in the process. Rizwan’s dismissal proved to be a significant blow to Pakistan’s innings, as he was the anchor holding their chase together.

Stellar support from other bowlers
While Bumrah led the charge, he received valuable support from his teammates. Hardik Pandya proved to be a potent force alongside Bumrah, claiming two important wickets and maintaining pressure on the opposition. Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh also chipped in with crucial breakthroughs, ensuring that Pakistan’s batting lineup struggled to gain momentum in their chase of 120 as they ultimately finished on 113/7.
