This tour comes as a fresh start for the team, especially after their impressive win at the global event, and aims to test the depth of India’s cricketing talent.

Opportunities for youngsters amidst senior players’ absence

With many senior players being rested for the Zimbabwe tour, the selection committee has opted to give young and emerging players a chance to prove their mettle. Notable inclusions in the squad are the all-rounders Abhishek Sharma and Riyan Parag, alongside pacer Tushar Deshpande, all of whom have received their maiden call-ups to the national team.
