Delhi Daredevils’ Chris Morris created an IPL record of the highest strike rate in an innings (minimum 25 runs) during his scintillating knock of 38 runs from just 9 balls.
Morris, who came to bat after the fall of centurion Sanju Samson‘s wicket smashed the Rising Pune Supergiant bowlers all over the park in the final two overs.
He recorded a strike rate of 422.22 during his innings which constituted 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. There were no dot balls in his innings.
The previous IPL record was held by his countryman Albie Morkel, who back in 2012, scored 28 runs off just 7 balls at a strike rate of 400 during CSK’s memorable chase of 207 against RCB.
