Former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh had a standout performance in the recently concluded World Championship of Legends (WCL) final between India Champions and Pakistan Champions at Edgbaston in Birmingham. Under Yuvraj’s leadership, India secured a remarkable five-wicket victory, clinching the prestigious title.

Key contributors to India’s triumph

Anureet Singh and Ambati Rayudu played crucial roles in India’s impressive win against their arch-rivals. Anureet shone with the ball, claiming three wickets and helping to restrict Pakistan to 156/6 in their 20 overs. All-rounder Irfan Pathan was the most economical bowler, conceding only 12 runs in 3 overs while also taking a wicket.

In their chase, India Champions won with 5 balls to spare and 5 wickets in hand. Rayudu’s match-winning innings of 50 runs from 30 balls, featuring 5 fours and 2 sixes, was instrumental. Yusuf Pathan also contributed with a swift 30 runs from 16 balls, leading India Champions to victory.
