Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag, who is known for his witty and humorous tweets, wished Sri Lanka legend and spin king Muttiah Muralitharan on his 45th birthday in his own trademark style.
Sehwag took to the micro-blogging site and came up with a funny birthday wish for the spin legend.
In his tweet, Sehwag used a heavy pun that can give any person a facepalm moment. He spelled Muttiah as ‘Maut Aaya’ which translates to ‘Coming death’.
He wrote that whenever Murali came into bowl, the batsmen knew it was their death coming their way.
“Happy Birthday to the great man, who not only surprised batsman but himself looked surprised & batsman used to think ‘Maut Aaya Muralitharan’,” Sehwag tweeted.
In the ongoing IPL, both Muralidharan and Sehwag are currently a part of the coaching staff for teams Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kings XI Punjab respectively.
