Rohit Sharma, India’s charismatic captain, has once again showcased his endearingly absent-minded side. A video capturing his airport arrival in Mumbai has gone viral, highlighting his struggle to remember the exact number of luggage pieces he was carrying.

Rohit Sharma’s forgetful side takes centre stage

In the video, Rohit was first heard saying, “7 bag hone chahiye (there should be 7 bags).” However, few seconds later, while traveling with his wife Ritika Sajdeh and daughter Samaira, he was heard correcting himself to “8 bag hone chahiye (there should be 8 bags).”

Here’s the video:

This playful trait has been a recurring theme in Rohit’s life, with teammates, especially Virat Kohli, often teasing him about his forgetfulness.

Rohit’s return to India after the much-needed vacation

Rohit’s recent vacation in the United Kingdom (UK) and the United States of America (USA) provided a much-needed break from the intense cricket schedule. Hitman, famously called by his fans, was accompanied by his wife and daughter, and upon returning to India, he was greeted by a swarm of enthusiastic fans.

Despite his off-field quirks, Rohit remains one of India’s most successful captains. His leadership skills were instrumental in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph. As he shifts focus to ODIs and Tests, the cricketing world eagerly awaits his next on-field masterclass.

The upcoming ODI series against Sri Lanka will be a crucial test for the Indian team, and Rohit’s leadership will be pivotal in determining the outcome.

While his forgetful moments add a touch of humour to his personality, Rohit’s cricketing acumen and his ability to inspire his team remain unquestionable.
