Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma brightened a young fan’s day during a practice session in preparation for the Sri Lanka vs India ODI series. After clinching the T20 World Cup in June, Kohli and Rohit are set to return to action for India in the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. Both players had been resting following the T20 World Cup and have since retired from T20Is.

Both players have arrived in Sri Lanka for the ODI series and recently participated in a practice session. During the session, Kohli noticed a young fan holding a photo of him and Rohit with the T20 World Cup trophy and the national tricolour. Kohli approached the fan, signed an autograph, and posed for a photograph. Rohit followed suit, repeating the gesture.
The legendary batters Kohli and Rohit are returning to ODI cricket after a significant break. Rohit last played in the ODI format during the World Cup 2023 final last year, when India fell to Australia. He was the second-highest run-scorer of the tournament, amassing 597 runs in 11 innings with an average of 54.27 and a strike rate of 125.94. In contrast, Kohli was the top run-scorer of the ODI World Cup, accumulating 765 runs in 11 innings at an impressive average of 95.62 and a strike rate 90.31.
