Star Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was observed getting angry on his teammates during the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 match on Wednesday, July 31. The incident occurred during the eliminator match between Ashwin’s Dindigul Dragons and the Chepauk Super Gillies at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul.
Ravichandran Ashwin loses his temper on teammates for a risky run
Ashwin was seen angrily confronting one of his Dindigul teammates, as he was frustrated by a disappointing run-out incident involving Baba Indrajith and Shivam Singh. Ashwin’s desperation to win the Eliminator match led to his outburst. As Indrajith drove a length ball towards mid-off, Shivam called for a single, causing a moment of hesitation between the two batters. As they ran, a fielder threw the ball to the non-striker’s end, resulting in Indrajith’s dismissal. This sequence of events caused Ashwin to lose his temper. In a video that has gone viral, the star spinner was spotted yelling at his teammate, likely Shivam, for the risky single that led to the run-out.
