Reason behind Ishan Kishan’s absence
Wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the opening round of the Duleep Trophy after sustaining a groin injury while playing in the Buchi Babu Tournament. The BCCI Medical Team is closely monitoring his condition and working towards ensuring a swift recovery. Sanju Samson has been named as Kishan’s replacement in the India D squad.
Why Suryakumar Yadav is not in India C team’s playing XI?
Suryakumar Yadav is also be unavailable for the first round of the Duleep Trophy after incurring a sprain to his right thumb while fielding in the Buchi Babu Tournament. He featured in only one match for Mumbai Cricket Association against TNCA XI in Coimbatore. The BCCI Medical Team is currently assessing his injury, and a further evaluation next week will determine his availability for the second round.
