The New Zealand Cricket Team is gearing up for an exciting white-ball tour of Sri Lanka in November, which promises to be an exciting contest between two competitive sides. The tour will feature a two-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series and will mark another chapter in the cricketing rivalry between the two nations, offering fans a chance to witness some high-quality cricket action.

T20I series to kick off the tour

New Zealand’s tour of Sri Lanka will commence with the two-match T20I series, which is scheduled for November 9 and 10. Both games will occur at the picturesque Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium in Dambulla. With a scenic backdrop and an electrifying atmosphere, the venue will set the stage for what promises to be two enthralling contests. The Sri Lankan team will be looking to build on their momentum based on recent success and carry that form into the series against New Zealand.

ODI series to follow the T20Is

Following the conclusion of the T20Is, attention will shift to the three-match ODI series, which will begin on November 13. The first ODI will also be held at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, before the teams move to Pallekele International Cricket Stadium for the second and third matches, scheduled for November 17 and 19, respectively. These matches will be crucial for both teams as they look to fine-tune their strategies and team combinations ahead of future international tournaments.

Recent encounters and form guide: New Zealand and Sri Lanka

In September, Sri Lanka delivered a crushing blow to New Zealand, sweeping the Tim Southee-led side 2-0 at the Galle International Stadium. The series, which was part of the World Test Championship (WTC)  2023-25 cycle, saw the hosts assert their dominance with two comprehensive victories. This outcome further boosted Sri Lanka’s standing in the WTC, while New Zealand endured a demoralizing set of defeats.
