In a shocking move, former Indian Test skipper Anil Kumble on Tuesday announced his decision to step down as the head coach of the Indian team.
Commenting on the spat between Kumble and Virat Kohli – which eventually led to Kumble’s resignation – five-time Olympian and Champion shooter Abhinav Bindra had a piece of advice for Indian captain.
“My biggest teacher was coach Uwe.I hated him! But stuck with him for 20 years. He always told me things I did not want to hear.#justsaying,” the shooter wrote.
Famous Badminton player Jwala Gutta too replied to the tweet, saying: “Sometimes that’s the important part of training I remember my sir doing the same…he still does it!!!”
It was a subtle message to Kohli and Team India, as Kumble was often accused of being a strict headmaster who had a lot of rules.
According to these stars players even if the player dislikes the coach’s style of teaching, he should accept it and stick to the same. After all, the coach is always more experienced and has a better way of doing things.
