The Lanka T10 Super League 2024 will unfold at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, a venue known for its welcoming atmosphere and excellent cricketing facilities. The tournament is set to run from December 11 to December 19, 2024, bringing together six teams that include some of the most competitive cricket franchises in Sri Lanka.
These teams – Colombo Jaguars, Galle Marvels, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, Jaffna Titans, Kandy Bolts and Nuwara Eliya Kings – will engage in a round-robin format, which ensures that each team gets ample opportunity to prove their mettle on the field. Over the course of the league, each team will play seven league matches, facing off against three opponents once and two other teams twice, setting the stage for a highly competitive race to the top of the table.
Playoff format and path to the final
As the league progresses, the top four teams after the league phase will move forward to the playoffs. The first phase of the playoffs will be the Qualifier 1, where the top two teams will battle for a direct entry into the final match. The third and fourth-placed teams will square off in the Eliminator, with the winner moving on to face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2. This format ensures that every match carries significant weight, with teams vying for strategic advantages to reach the final showdown. The climax of the tournament, the grand final, is set to take place on December 19, where the best two teams will compete for the title and the honor of becoming the first-ever Lanka T10 Super League champions.

For this maiden edition, the teams have been divided into two groups, ensuring a balanced yet competitive structure. Group A will feature Jaffna Titans, Hambantota Bangla Tigers, and Nuwara Eliya Kings, while Group B will include Colombo Jaguars, Kandy Bolts, and Galle Marvels.
This division not only adds intrigue to the group-stage matches but also sets the stage for intense rivalries and thrilling encounters.
