The Bengaluru-leg of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is set to amplify the tournament’s signature blend of electrifying cricket and entertainment, with a star-studded lineup of performers headlining the mid-innings shows.
Bolstering the action on the field, celebrity performers like Shruti Haasan and Vaani Kapoor will take centre stage during the Bengaluru fixtures, starting February 21.
The BCCI’s innovative mid-innings entertainment initiative, introduced during the Vadodara-leg, has already struck a chord with fans. After scrapping the traditional opening ceremony, the league roped in artists like Ayushmann Khurrana, Madhubanti Bagchi, Dhvani Bhanushali and folk sensation Kinjal Dave to perform during match intervals. The concept, aimed at boosting stadium attendance and viewer engagement, will now shift gears in Bengaluru with an even grander roster of talent.
Entertainment meets edge-of-the-seat cricket
The Bengaluru schedule promises a mix of musical genres, from Shruti Haasan’s dynamic dance moves (February 21) to the soulful melodies of Bhoomi Trivedi (February 25) and the Punjabi beats of Aastha Gill (February 26). The twin sister duo Sukriti-Prakriti will perform on February 22, while Zahrah Khan (February 28) and Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor (March 1) will close the leg with high-energy acts.

On the cricketing front, the Vadodara leg set a high bar with nail-biting contests. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) stunned fans by chasing down a mammoth 202-run target against Gujarat Giants (GG) in the opener, while Delhi Capitals (DC) edged out Mumbai Indians (MI) in a last-ball thriller. The league also witnessed a mix of high-scoring shootouts and tense low-total clashes, including a penultimate-ball finish in the final Vadodara match.
