Indian opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan has hit the purple patch and is scoring runs at will. He has been scoring heavily since his comeback in ODI’s during ICC Champions Trophy. In the recently concluded Test series in Sri Lanka, the ‘Gabbar’ of Indian cricket has struck 2 tons.
He extended his run by scoring another century in the first ODI at Dambulla. It seems the southpaw, who is married to Ayesha Mukherjee, has a newfound Bollywood crush.
In an interview with Cricket Today, Dhawan revealed that his favourite actor is Aamir Khan. Dhawan’s teammate and the skipper of the Indian team Virat Kohli is also a fan of Aamir Khan. The opener also revealed that his favourite actress is Kareena Kapoor.
Dhawan’s all-time favourite movie is John Avildsen’s Rocky (1976), starring Sylvester Stallon. He has named Lord’s as his favourite cricket ground. When asked about his favourite cricketer, Dhawan said it is none other than the master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar.
