There haven’t been better sights in world cricket than watching Rohit Sharma in full flow. The Mumbai batsman flaunted sublime form while smashing unbeaten 124 runs and guiding India to a comfortable six-wicket victory against Sri Lanka in the third ODI at Pallekele.
After pacer Jasprit Bumrah played a key role in restricting the hosts to 217/9 with career-best figures of five for 27, India wobbled in their chase, losing four wickets for 61 runs but Sharma and MS Dhoni added unbeaten 157 runs partnership for the fifth wicket to hand India an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-match series.
After the victory, Rohit took to his Twitter handle and shared a picture with Dhoni and gave the former skipper a new nickname of “Ice Man”.
“Special night with the special man. Great way to win the series. #WeMarchOn #IceMan & Hitman,” Rohit wrote in his post.
