Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni added a fresh feather into his already illustrious cap as he became the first wicketkeeper in the world to affect 100 stumpings in ODI’s during the fifth ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.
On the last ball of the 45th over of the Sir Lanka innings, Dhoni affected the stumping of Akila Dananjaya off the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal and with this dismissal, Dhoni set a new world record.
Reacting on Dhoni’s feat, New Zealand’s former skipper Brendon McCullum has posted a heartwarming message for the former Indian captain on Instagram.
It his post, Bazz has shown respect to the Indian legend. McCullum wrote that he knows all about being a wicketkeeper and about the perils that come with it. He also mentioned that he has a recurring back pain that would haunt him for the rest of his life while Dhoni has managed to keep for much longer while also being the captain and the main batsman of his team.
He concluded his message for Dhoni by calling him Superhuman.
