The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled Team India’s international home schedule for the latter half of 2025, promising an action-packed cricketing season. Following the conclusion of the IPL 2025 and a challenging tour of England, India will host West Indies and South Africa in a series of high-stakes matches across all three formats from October to December.

India vs West Indies Test Series

The home season kicks off with a two-match Test series against the West Indies. The first Test will be held at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium from October 2-6, followed by the second Test at Kolkata’s iconic Eden Gardens from October 10-14. These matches will be crucial for India as they aim to strengthen their position in the ICC World Test Championship standings.

Historic Test in Guwahati against South Africa

In November, South Africa will visit India for an all-format series. The two-Test series begins on November 14 in New Delhi and will mark a historic moment as Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium hosts its maiden Test match from November 22–26. This milestone underscores the BCCI’s commitment to expanding cricket’s reach across the country.

ODI series against South Africa

The focus then shifts to white-ball cricket. A three-match ODI series against South Africa is scheduled from November 30 to December 6, with games in Ranchi, Raipur and Vizag. The series will provide a platform for emerging talents and seasoned players to fine-tune their skills ahead of global tournaments.

T20I Series: Preparation for T20 World Cup 2026

A five-match T20I series against South Africa will run from December 9–19, featuring venues such as Cuttack, New Chandigarh, Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad. The T20I series holds added significance as it serves as preparation for India’s defense of their T20 World Cup title in early 2026.
