The Indian Premier League (IPL) has always been a tournament full of twists, turns, and player movements across franchises. Over the years, many players have switched teams, leaving behind old colours to embrace new challenges.

As Mumbai Indians (MI) get ready to take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 45 of IPL 2025 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on April 27, it’s the perfect time to revisit the players who have been part of both camps.

Players who have played for both MI and LSG in IPL

Nicholas Pooran

West Indies’ stylish left-handed batter and wicketkeeper Nicholas Pooran was acquired by Mumbai Indians in the 2017 IPL auction. Although he didn’t get a game for the five-time champions that season, his association with MI marked his early days in the league. Pooran has since matured into one of the most devastating finishers in T20 cricket.

His ability to turn matches single-handedly with his six-hitting prowess has made him a key member of Lucknow Super Giants. Notably, Pooran has so far played 85 overall games in the cash-rich league, scoring over 2000 runs (2146) with 13 half-centuries.

Mohsin Khan

Mohsin Khan, the promising left-arm fast bowler from Uttar Pradesh, also shares a history with both teams. He was initially picked by Mumbai Indians in 2018 but did not play any matches that season. The franchise showed faith again by re-signing him for the 2020 season, yet Mohsin remained on the bench.

It was only after moving to Lucknow Super Giants that he truly made a mark. With his sharp pace, swing, and ability to bowl effective yorkers, Mohsin has emerged as one of LSG’s most reliable bowlers. His journey is a prime example of how perseverance eventually pays off in the IPL.

Mohsin has so far featured in 24 matches in his IPL career, where he has impressed with his consistent bowling performances. The left-arm pacer has picked up 27 wickets, maintaining a decent economy rate of 8.51. His standout performance came when he registered remarkable figures of 4 for 16, showcasing his ability to deliver crucial breakthroughs and keep the batters under pressure during key phases of the game.
