The foundation of Jadeja’s record-breaking journey was laid on March 9, 2022, when he dethroned West Indies‘ Jason Holder to claim the top spot in the ICC Test all-rounder rankings. That moment marked the beginning of an extraordinary stretch of dominance in red-ball cricket. From that day forward, Jadeja maintained his number one status through numerous bilateral Test series and high-pressure matches, never once being overtaken by any other competitor.
