Friday was a day to remember at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium as Rohit Sharma—the stalwart of Indian cricket—was honoured with a stand named after him by the Mumbai Cricket Association. The unveiling was a proud moment for the Sharma family. Rohit’s parents—Gurunath and Poornima Sharma—alongside his wife Ritika Sajdeh and brother Vishal, were present for the grand occasion. The MCA also honoured former India captain Ajit Wadekar and ex-BCCI president Sharad Pawar, making it a day steeped in cricketing history.
While the ceremony was filled with pride, gratitude, and emotion, it also served fans with a dose of humour, thanks to a candid exchange between Rohit and his younger brother Vishal Sharma that quickly took social media by storm.
Rohit Sharma scolds brother Vishal after noticing a dent on his car
Shortly after the unveiling of the Rohit Sharma Stand, a video surfaced online showing the Indian ODI captain inspecting a dent on a family car. Spotting the damage, Rohit turned to his brother and, with a straight face, asked, “Yeh kya hai?” Vishal, clearly unprepared for the inquiry, replied hesitantly, “Reverse.”
Rohit, never one to miss a beat, shot back with a cheeky, “Kiska? Tere se?” The deadpan delivery of the question had fans bursting with laughter. The clip, which can be seen here, has since gone viral, with netizens praising Rohit’s effortless comic timing and sibling chemistry.
