Delhi Capitals sign off from IPL 2025 with a victory over Punjab Kings
The spotlight on Du Plessis in Jaipur wasn’t limited to his playful off-field exchange with Zinta. The former South African captain has had an intriguing season of his own. After being released by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), where he served as captain, Faf found a new home in the Delhi dugout. Despite not being the franchise’s primary leader, he was entrusted with the captaincy for a couple of matches this season, stepping up in the absence of the regular skipper. Although Delhi suffered a defeat at the hands of the Mumbai Indians during his brief stint at the helm, Du Plessis helped lead the side with poise and confidence.
