That six not only sealed a Qualifier 1 berth for the side but also ended a long 11-year playoff drought. The last time PBKS made it to the top four was in 2014, when they reached the final. PBKS is yet to win an IPL title, but this season, the side has shown all the grit and determination needed to go all the way.
Punjab Kings’ dominant run in IPL 2025
Punjab have delivered a scintillating performance so far this year. Currently positioned at the top of the table with 9 wins in 14 games, their batting led by Iyer has been up to the mark with a combination of both experience and young talents. Priyansh Arya turned out to be the trump card who is making full use of his batting position, providing quick starts and converting them into big innings.
Meanwhile their bowling led by Arshdeep Singh too has shown promise alongside the skill and experience of Protea Marco Janson. Whether it’s regular breakthroughs by the spinner in the middle or economical death bowling, PBKS had their guns blazing. Youngsters have stepped up when needed and the unit looks balanced, sharp and ready for bigger challenges ahead.
