Nepal edges past Scotland in a thrilling match
In the 3rd match of the Tri-Series, the two sides battled it out in an edge-of-the-seat contest. On a green top, the home side was invited to bat first, and things started horribly for them. Within the powerplay, Scotland lost half their side, reeling at 24 for 5. However, Leask and Matthew Cross steadied the ship with a brisk 39-run partnership. Despite their efforts, regular breakthroughs kept coming, and Scotland were eventually restricted to just 97 runs.
In reply, Nepal faced similar challenges as wickets kept falling at regular intervals. Apart from opener Kushal Bhurtel, none of the Nepalese batters looked settled. However, in a last-over thriller, the visiting side managed to cross the finish line, thanks to the calm presence of Kiran Thagunna.
